CODEHANCE

GDPR & your data

Codehance Ltd is a UK company. Whether you signed up for the free challenge or you're a paying student, you have rights over your personal data under UK GDPR — and exercising them is free.

Your rights, in plain language

Access — ask for a copy of everything we hold about you. Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected. Erasure — have your data deleted (“right to be forgotten”). Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format. Objection & restriction — object to processing based on legitimate interest, including marketing, which we will always stop on request.

How to make a request

Email privacy@codehance.com from the address associated with your account (or the one you used for the challenge), telling us which right you want to exercise. We respond within one month, as UK GDPR requires. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or deleting data — that protects you.

Unsubscribing is even easier

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any SMS. That takes effect immediately and doesn't affect your account or challenge access.

If you're not happy

We'd like the chance to fix it first — but you always have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
